"We are looking forward to seeing you there! It will be a tribute to the Godfather of Hip Hop, the Legendary Gil Scott Heron. We will have live performances by some lyrical heavy weights, including rasta rappers InI Mighty Lockdown, which consists of King Negus, Jolomite, and Savage Messiah, who "bring hardcore conscious music from the underground to the masses subjected to dysfunctional music". Starting with the groundbreaking InI single Faking Jax, produced by DJ Pete Rock and InI Mighty Lockdown’s weekly underground performances in New York’s East Village they have been making a recognizable mark on Hip Hop’s conscious scene since the early nineties, will be performing with their offshoot, the BG'z, Fidel Bogota & Savage Messiah.
InI MLD are also fashion designers, with a t-shirt line called Authentic I-Wear Garments, which has been spotted on singer Lauryn Hill in a popular magazine.
