Fort Greene Calendar call for entries

Dear Fort Greeners,

Be part of something picturesque! The Fort Greene Association is creating a 2006–2007 calendar in celebration of our wonderful neighborhood. We seek professional-quality photographs, illustrations and artwork that uniquely capture the spirit and beauty of Fort Greene. If your work is chosen for publication you will receive a copy of the printed calendar. Please see the submission guidelines below and submit your work accordingly. The submissions deadline is January 9, 2006.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
For the Fort Greene Association 2006–2007 calendar, we’re gladly accepting photography and artwork submissions from neighborhood residents. All artwork subject matter should be centered around the theme of Fort Greene.

FOR REVIEW:
For initial review purposes, please do not send original artwork or photographs, but rather low-resolution images via email. You may send as few or as many images as you wish for review. Please be sure to include your name, phone number, home address, email address, and any pertinent notes regarding subject matter or concept. When final image selections have been made, we will contact you to request final/original artwork for reproduction purposes. For preliminary review, send artwork submissions via email to: calendar@HistoricFortGreene.org by January 9, 2006. If your work is selected, please be prepared to send final artwork no later than January 20, 2006.

FINAL/ORIGINAL ART FOR REPRODUCTION:
We can accept transparencies, photographic prints and high-resolution digital images for reproduction. Please be absolutely sure that your artwork meets the following requirements for reproduction:

• Transparencies: 35mm or 4" x 5", must be color-accurate and in good condition – no dust/scratches or retouching needed.

• Photographic Prints: Professional-quality black and white or color prints, must be in good condition – no folds, tears, dust/scratches or retouching needed.

• Digital Files: High-resolution, 300 dpi, CMYK artwork on CD or DVD. For consideration as a feature/full page image, image dimensions must be at least 12" on the shortest side @ 300 dpi. Digital files should be color-accurate and accompanied by a color-correct proof for color matching, and must be in good condition – no dust/scratches or retouching needed.
